I ate here with a friend for lunch on the weekend. I ordered a chicken salad for $12. The lettuce was a mix of light green iceberg and romaine. The chicken was breaded like chicken tenders. The meat was cooked thoroughly. It was not burnt and also not cold. The breading was light and crisp without being overwhelming. Some places have breaded chicken made so that it is more breading than chicken. Luckily, at Striker s, that was not the case. The layer of breading was thin and not distracting from the chicken itself.
Also on the salad were hard boiled eggs cut in half lengthwise. Those tasted freshly boiled and not as if they were sitting around for a while. I also had tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers on my salad. The tomatoes were large pieces, almost as if the chef cut a whole tomato into quarters and put those pieces on the plate. The cucumbers were sliced about a half inch thick with the skin on. The onions were red onions uncooked and crisp. The onions were shaved pieces and a little overpowering in my opinion. There were sunflower seeds sprinkled on my salad, which was a nice touch. As for dressing, I selected Italian and declined Ranch, Blue Cheese, Vinaigrette, and Thousand Island. My dressing came on the side, so I was able to put as much or as little on it as I wanted. The flavoring of the salad dressing was very potent, which I enjoyed. It was a vibrant flavor that brought the rest of the salad to life.
In terms of the atmosphere itself, I got a nice window seat. The tables and chairs were a bit rough and could have used some cushion to make them more comfortable. Everything was clean but looked a little outdated.
