Four star review after a rather welcome conversation with the owner Mr. VanChoate. The restaurant was rather busy this evening so our waitress was hopping...it was frustrating nonetheless, seemingly us feeling neglected. But we took it in stride. Our food came out after about 30 minutes of us being there and was incorrectly put together. We brought it to the attention of the manager who QUICKLY corrected the issue. After finishing our meal (my boyfriend his completely and mine saved for the microwave later) Mr. VanChoate stopped by our table to ask how things were to which we both responded honestly with our concerns. He very professionally and kindly explained the situation and even a brief history lesson of this restaurant and seemed to empathize rather well...taking all into consideration, he offered, and we accepted, a dessert on the house. Overall, a rather mediocre experience made into an exceptional one, thanks to an exceptional owner.

P.S. The chocolate cake is amazing, try it...
