This is a beautiful park. The view is amazing & absolutely breathtaking. I've now lived in STL for almost 6 years, had never even cared to go down to the arch since I drive by it daily to go to work, but with family in town they wanted to visit. Being down on The Arch grounds was pretty exciting.
Once we went inside I didn't get to explore at all (my family aren't museum people) so we didn't look around, but we all want to ride the tram to the top of the Arch. It was a cool experience but it was very uncomfortable & overly crowded. I will warn you & ( this is not to sound rude at all but simply being honest so there's no discomfort or panic) if you plan on taking the tram to the top this tram is not for those who are: scared of heights, overweight, chlosterphobic, or have a walking disability simply b//c the tram is TINY! There's 8 tram cars that only seat 5 people each...literally shoulder to shoulder & knee to knee. Luckily we visited in the winter time b//c it can easily get super hot on the tram & moreso once you make it to the top. I feel if the tram was bigger or if they did cramp sooo many people in such a tiny space (instead of 40 people at a time cut that number in half) the experience would be much more pleasant. Overall other than that, it wasn't bad.
