Not quite sure about the story behind the Italian ...

Not quite sure about the story behind the Italian chef statue outside but the food was Americana diner all the way.

We stopped in for breakfast and my daughter had the German sausage omelette and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs, neither disappointed. Scottie had to take home half her breakfast because there was so much, I on the other hand devoured the two plates of food they brought me. Only criticism would be that the country gravy tasted more like Alfredo Sauce???? Kinda weird and we couldn't figure why but thought it might be the lack of sausage to flavor it...anyway.

As others have mentioned, the coffee is a step up from the standard burnt tasting diner fare we usually get - although a far throw from local or handcrafted. Plenty of seating available and we sat in the front where the sun came in through the window so the temperature was pleasant. The waitstaff was friendly and on top of our needs, while the bill was right in the ballpark and reasonable for what we got - $30 for two meals and drinks.

We plan on going back in about a month to make sure our visit wasn't an anomaly, but we're looking forward to having a new regular spot!
