Giving it one star so that we can narrate our horrible experience.

When we called our call was answered by a salesman called Jose Sanchez. The name of salesman looks very common and easy to remember and it is same as our experience which was extremely frustrating and something that we will remember all life long.

Here goes the story - when called we asked for a specific make, model, options and color. We gave 2nd and 3rd choice of the color as well. We were told that we have everything one in stock and if you come today you will be able to drive home the car. We mentioned that we have an existing quote from Toyota of Poway - we were told that no matter what the price is, we will beat it or at least match it.

We took early time off from work and stopped everything at home to head over.

And look what happens:

1. The person who talked to us is not available, not sure where he is... we were told he is at Used Car Sales and someone's finance is getting worked on... after that we are asked to wait for his buddy in the middle of parking lot unattended... No one comes .. seems like no one wants to attend the customer....

2. After a while the person who greeted us comes back and tells I will take care of you.. but the color you were promised is not in stock.... BUMMMMMER... the justification is ridiculous .... we sold it and we forgot to take it off the inventory... GREAT.. a 22K item gets sold in this dealership and no one wants to maintain the inventory... amazing system.. Toyota should have done an audit here....

Without looking at our emotions... the salesperson frankly says.. you should be happy we have your choice #2 available.... amazing how this dealership honors someone's liking .. the salesperson should have got same experience when he/she is buying the car for himself/herself ...

This is just a start...

We asked for the gentleman who spoke to us, and see what.. no one cares to make us speak to the salesperson. Either they are hiding a person or they are hiding a robot :) ...

3. After we were disappointed, the salesperson helping us disappears for 15 mins and then comes back saying "we have your choice of color in shipment and it is arriving in a week, let's do the numbers and you pay us so, we can block a car for you".

4. When started discussing numbers, the salesperson took the quote from us - wrote it on a paper where got my sign saying if I give you at this price, you will buy it right now.. I signed..

5. The salesperson goes inside saying "I am going to talk to my boss" - comes back and says your quote is a invalid and no such vehicle exists and starts bitching about Toyota of Poway to cover their inabilities to please a customer.

He raises the price by 15% and even doesn't offer invoice price ... saying us "take it or leave" nothing else can be done.

All the hard work, talk in vain - thankfully I did not sign on any of the credit application form as I was really worried what will happen to my information if I tell them to shred the paper..

After spoiling our whole evening we returned home with an extremely horrible experience at Toyota Carlsbad.

Our recommendation is - if you are staying away from this place, don't bother about calling or going this place. Just want to save your time and money.
