A very nice place, but alas not so much to do. I think I arrived on a day off because the place was pretty empty. Gladly we met an instructor that explained everything (half in Japanese and half in English) and we surely enjoyed our time there. Besides the two active observatories there is also a huge park you can take a stroll in and a small museum and library if you want to enrich your knowledge a little bit, yes it is all in Japanese, sorry.
We spent there a couple of hours. You can go here after or before the visit in the Studio Ghibli Museum.
