We were visiting from out of state and was looking forward to visiting the zoo. To our surprise how we found the condition of the zoo and the animals was shocking. I understand that with the Covid and closures, but did they just neglect the animals and the facility during that time??!! The zoo was poorly kept, some of the lions looked starved, other animals that we could see, were in their own feces, animals looked sad and yes I understand it is a zoo, but being a city zoo I would have thought it would have still been maintained during the pandemic. Terrible time and hopefully now that they're opened they will pay more attention and care to their facility and animals.
