**UPDATE**

**UPDATE**
Since my review I've been contacted by Jim Grove the service director at Suburban Chrysler Jeep. Jim was very professional in the way he handled my issue. The replacenent part was ordered and delivered to the service center the next day. I took my jeep in to have the repairs done and I am completely satisfied with the repairs. My shifter is back to the way it uses to be and I'm pleased with the customer service I received from Suburban Chrysler Jeep.

I took my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a recall on the ignition switch. I waited at the location while my vehicle was being repaired. When I got my vehicle back I was more than disappointed in the results.
For starters my ignition is super difficult to turn now. I feel like I have to force the key in then turn it to start the vehicle. Also my gear shift is all screwy now. Before I brought the jeep in the gear shift was smooth, now the black plastic piece on the inside of the gear shift is all crumpled up and there's a horrible crunching sound whenever I shift. Not only that but I have use extra force to put it in drive and when I put it in park.
When I told the service manager about this his response was "I don't know what to tell you." I repeatedly explained to him that the issues I was experiencing were not there before I brought the vehicle in. Apparently if a tech writes "gear shift damage" on the work order that means that the customers word is null and void. It didn't say that the gear shift was damaged prior to the tech working on it, it just said gear shift was damaged.
I'm extremely displeased in "quality" of their work and "customer service". I feel like they're attempting to scam me into paying them to fix something they broke either on purpose on by mistake. What makes this whole thing even worse is I was going to sell my Jeep because I'm in the market to get a Wrangler. Now Suburban of Troys actions have depreciated the worth of my vehicle even more which will make it even more difficult for me to get anything for the Jeep. It really disgusts me that I've worked hard to pay off my Jeep and want to buy another Jeep product only to be treated like I don't matter. I will never do business with Suburban of Troy again, and I am strongly considering not doing business with Chrysler all together is nothing is done about this issue. I also will make sure everyone I come in contact with that is considering going to Suburban Troy to look elsewhere for service, and in my line of work I come in contact with a lot of people that I give referrals to for different services. If this is how they treat first time customers that is a shame.
