What a beautiful place! We just got home from our visit. Stunning resort, extremely friendly staff, remodeled rooms, 3 huge pools! Check in with Joshua was smooth, really set the standard for our entire visit, he was SO nice! One of the best check in experiences I ve ever had. I know it s a Marriott of course they re nice... but no, he went above and beyond. And while we were there there was another guest being extremely rude to the next clerk over and he went and helped her out afterwards, not sure if he is maybe a manager or something, but he definitely deserves recognition. We had a 2 queens pool view room, it was a beautiful view. The room was great, visually pleasing, large bathroom with shower and large tub, sliding partition-like windows from the bathroom to the rest of the room was a fun addition. The only thing I thought it was lacking was a microwave but we made do. It did have a mini fridge at least. The grounds of this hotel are stunning and huge, lots of different birds, black swans, flamingos, geese, ducks. Fountains and ponds, a beautiful Japanese garden. They even had boats INSIDE the lobby! They take guests out on boat rides around the lake . Because of covid they were not currently running, 2 of their restaurants were closed (but 2 were still open, as well as the pool bar and grill), the jacuzzis were unfortunately closed, that was probably the most disappointing thing, but obviously it was because of covid and not the hotels fault. Hopefully with loosening guidelines in CA they can reopen soon. We were there over the weekend, it was busy-ish but we never felt overcrowded. The hotel was very good at following covid protocols, social distance, enhanced cleaning, and mask enforcement, and I felt safe during my visit. I m hoping to visit again soon when everything has reopened. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
