This review covers Sarasota memorial Hospital nursing and rehab center on Rand Road, Sarasota, FL.
Nursing care - five stars. The nurses never missed a timed pain reliever, and being on time with pain management is critical to me.
Food and kitchen: they worked well with my Keto diet requirements . As with most care centers, the food is very bland, so plan on taking salt and pepper (those packets do not have enough) and your favorite seasoning to spice things up a but.
Occupational therapy - "" or one star, or no star at all.
Physical therapy, "F". The reason is that the therapists are working for another company, and are contracted to SMH. This means you do not get the same therapist on repeat visits. NO continuity. Commonly the therapists will be working with one or two additional patients at the same time.
Since the therapist has not worked with you before, they will need to read the case file, and that makes the first 15 minutes with you doing unrelated exercised until the therapist is finished. That leaves 30 minutes, but remember that the also have to read the notes on one additional patient.
In addition, the gym rooms are very small and crowded with equipment. Total size may just meed the legal requirements, but it is cut up into four rooms. Very noisy. My recommendation is that if you need physical therapy, go elsewhere.
