Penney's exists mostly for people who resent paying more than a fiver for socks. That includes me. Sure the elastic goes after a couple of weeks but hey, they're socks. Who cares? It also sells a horrendous amount of other clothing, usually with tacky slogans often referencing American and/or a number in some way. A typical hoody sold to the Irish Market might read, bewilderingly, Brooklyn 91. (I doubt that it's a reference to the Crown Height riots). The elastic on the sleeve cuffs will also go after a couple of weeks. It's been keeping Dublin clothed since 1969, apparently. The elastic will go after a couple of weeks.
