Those of us that live in the Tigard area are so fortunate to have the Broadway Rose Theater Company located in our midst. They attract excellent talent and put on terrific musicals at extremely reasonable prices. They put on six plays a year, with the two largest productions in summer at the Deb Fennell Auditorium, Tigard HIgh School, and the four smaller productions at the New Stage, on Grant Street in Tigard. We've never been disappointed by a performance. Dan Murphy, the Managing Director, personally greets the audience and introduces the play at practically every performance. He must have been a stand-up comic in another life. He and his wife, Sharon Maroney, the Artistic Director, usually star in one of the productions (come see Gypsy at the Deb Fennell this summer), and bring in wonderful talent for the rest of the line-up. The sets, costumes, lighting, and everything that creates the theater magic is highly professional. If you like musical theater, you're in for a treat at the Broadway Rose.
