Cold-mill operator. 13+ years. I just keep my head down do my job and go home. Management can be cut-throat and savages towards each other.(which I don't understand) I steer clear of the that mess. I know my place. People take things to personal now-a-days. No employee is forced to stay at Jupiter, If you don't like your job try to better yourself and find something else. I'm genuinely happy for guys who get a better gig and can spend more time with there family. My advice to any young job seekers out there looking at reviews trying to decide if Jupiter Aluminum is the place for him/her is this. If your married, or have small children you won't see them much. Do take your significant other into consideration also because your wfe/gf/bf is going to take 25% off your responsibility as a parent simply because your WORKING or sleeping. That's it. If your single and just wanna make money this is the place for ya. Not all but MOST cold-mills, finishing, maintenance is on a 7-12's schedule. 5am to 5:30 pm for 7 days straight. 12 hour shifts. Followed by 4 days off (long weekend sat-tues) Then come back on Wednesday night 5:00pm to 5:30 am 7 days straight 12 hour shifts. Followed by 3 days off (wed-fri). Then repeat.. etc...etc... hope this helps
