Good morning,

Good morning,

on 04/08/2020 I called you from the phone number *** *** *** asking you how to deal with a complaint about a flooded telephone due to rain. The man from the customer service (unfortunately I do not remember the number of the call and the name and surname, but you have recordings of the calls) advised to return the telephone for a warranty claim to the seller with a description of the defect and a photocopy of the warranty repair at your authorized service center which concerned the screen replacement a year ago. In case of refusal, he asked to send an appeal to Huawei.

I complained to the seller on 05/08/2020 with the information that when leaving the trail on On 03/08/2020 the phone was exposed to several minutes of rain, the SIM card stopped reading so I turned off the phone to avoid a short circuit. After returning, I pulled out the SIM port and drained the phone, the next day I turned on the phone but noticed that the touch of the phone was not working. The phone was charging once, sometimes it did not, the network was lost, it turned off by itself, the battery quickly discharged and did not want to recharge, the speaker crackled.

Earlier, before using the Huawei p30 pro, I was the owner of an iPhone 7 with IP67 certification, the phone, despite contact with water, worked properly, while your product, despite the higher IP68 water resistance, stopped working after contact with a small amount of rain.

The phone was under warranty repair a year ago, in early August. The display module was replaced, I presume that there was a leakage during the above-mentioned repair, which caused water to get into the inside of the phone, which resulted in damage to the equipment. The phone was not previously exposed to the above-mentioned weather conditions.

Despite your IP68 certification, the phone is not suitable for use, the repair price is about PLN 3600, a new phone costs about PLN 1000 less. Unfortunately, I do not agree with the service's decision regarding the defect resulting from mechanical damage to the goods.

In my opinion, I think that the repair earlier brought more results.

Unfortunately, despite proclaiming the ip68 certificate, the company refuses to replace my phone.
