Founded in 1992 on the former Seita Tobacco Manufactory site, the Friche la Belle de Mai is one of the major cultural sites of the PACA Region covering 45,000 m2 of floor space and 100,000 m2 of surface area. theaters and exhibitions and 70 artistic and cultural structures of all disciplines (theater, dance, music, contemporary art, radio).

Place of creation and innovation, this space of possibilities, carried by the 70 resident structures (nearly 400 artists & producers) who work there, has allowed everyone's experiences to develop and structure themselves. 600 public artistic proposals are proposed per year, from the young public workshop to the biggest festivals.
