Hospitals don t generally get good reviews because patients are hurting and stressed. But this place deserves its score. Got into triage and an ER room very quickly, and that s the last thing that happened with reasonable speed. Forever to see a doctor (when I asked an hour and a half later, my son hadn t even been assigned a doctor). Nurses wander around chatting and won t even look at you when you re standing outside of the room trying to get their attention (the call button didn t work), medication request went ignored for two hours, then told they don t carry it). The doctor we needed to see wouldn t be back till the next day, so we had to stay all night or risk not getting into see her at all. We ended up being there five days (had to stay a whole extra day because the blood draw the first day was done so poorly), and hardly saw a doctor. The nursing staff got more attentive the longer you were there, but for the short-term urgent visit, they were remarkably unconcerned.

Addendum:
We had to return again two months later for the same issue, and this time, my son was admitted into the Behavioral Health unit. My husband told the admitting nurse his medications and the correct dosage, and told the pharmacist later. His dosage on one had been reduced because it elevated his heart rate so much, and even though we told them NO LESS THAN FIVE TIMES the correct dosage, they still gave him too high a dose. His heart rate skyrocketed, he was moved to the ER, and they had to take measures to get his heart rate down. When we confronted them about the fact that they couldn t get the cotton out of their ears and actually listen to us, the pharmacist actually lied to me and said that my husband had told them, and confirmed, that he got the higher dosage. The behavioral health nurse tried to gaslight me by telling me that *I* had told her it was the higher dose. I would go *anywhere else* if Kaiser hadn t designated this as their ER.
