Watch your rate sheets closely! It states $500 for missed appointments and of course, NO DETENTION at shippers. We serviced a load in which it states FCFS 7am-330pm on delivery. We let the idea of detention slide on the loading end after it took 5 hours to load. HOWEVER, a week after delivering the load at 7am, we get an email stating they will be kind and only charge us a $250 late fee since we delivered at 7am instead of 5am. #1 The receiver IS NOT OPEN at 5am!
#2 The rate sheet clearly states FCFS beginning at 7am.
I have seen some shady practices in this business, but I am pretty sure they get the gold for this one!
