First time I have ever been there, it was fabulous! Very clean, well maintained zoo. ( it was pricey to get in but understandable.) you can get close to the animals. Placards were descriptive with the animals, I felt they could have entailed more about the animals. Bring quarters! You will need them for the deer petting area. The deer love corn! It was amazing being able to feed and pet the deer. Oh also a hiking shoe. A lot of gravely walking paths. There were these cotton ball monkeys, guys your women will fall in love ! I could go on forever, but I ll make the effort to return again soon.
P.S. plan your day there, think like an animal. If it s to hot, your not going to see motivated animals. Also make sure when you enter the zoo, get a map! Good Luck!
