Utterly incompetent - avoid!!!

This is the second time I've had the misfortune of dealing with Gordon Property Lawyers during the re-mortgage of my property - they were the solicitors acting on behalf of the mortgage provider.
Both times they've taken absolutely ages to process anything, they send out requests for information to relevant parties (service mgmt. and leaseholders) and don't follow up/chase when they receive nothing so things come to a stand still - over a month of no activity on the recent re-mortgage because the requested info from the wrong company and didn't chase up the no response and I wasn't even aware they were waiting for anything - I ended up chasing myself. I started the process 2 months ago and it's still ongoing due to their utter incompetence.
It's impossible to get through to the person dealing with your case and they are consistently appalling at providing any kind of update. Incredibly frustrating experience and I would suggest that any other law firm out there would provide a better service than Gordon's do - if possible, avoid!!! I'm amazed that people have left them good reviews - I can only assume that these have been customers who have approached Gordon's directly and are provided a very different service to those who are forced to deal with them via their mortgage provider.
