What a terrible experience. We booked our hotel through Hotwire for a 3.5 star hotel for New Year's eve to have a nice night out by ourselves. We expected a 3.5 star hotel, but what we got was a 2 star hotel with a coat of 3 star paint. Long list of issues:
1. The Internet never worked. Trying to connect and reconnect to find places to go led us to having to find a coffee shop. Any 3.5 star hotel should have reliable and fast wifi.
2. The finishes in this hotel were awful. Ripped carpet, poor painting, the handle of the faucet came off when using it, crappy PTAC unit in the wall.
3. When the lights were off, you could see light all the way around the hotel room door. When people were talking in the lobby, it sounded like they were in your room.
4. We called about getting a partial refund, but they said that they had no record of a complaint during our stay so that they would not do anything. The thing is, we did complain twice during our stay and also at checkout, therefore our complaints were completely disregarded.
5. The only refund we got was for our parking.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Terrible customer service, terrible quality, terrible experience. If this hotel was $100 cheaper and listed as a 2-2.5 star hotel, my expectations, and therefore review, would be much different. Do yourself a favor and use AirBnb... maybe it will make these hotels start to change their ways.
