We called a couple weeks in advance to see if we could check in early due to our flight arriving around 2pm and were told that it was no problem but when we arrived and after we had checked in and received our key cards we were told that our Villa wasn t ready and that they would call us as soon as it was ready, so we drove around the incredibly gorgeous grounds.
Then over 2 hours later and at the original check in time we did receive a call letting us know that our Villa was still not ready and that they were giving us Another Villa and that we had to come back and stand in the long check in line to receive new key cards. We then proceeded to the Villa 3 hours after initially arriving and we were greeted by Dirty nasty bathroom floors and Dirty dishes in the Cupboards! Then we opened the blinds to the deck only to have our view be A Wall of Trees 20ft in front of us and a Huge pile of dirt on our right which must have been from the construction going on on site. Now We as WorldMark by Wyndham club members were very upset with our accommodations and were told that the Villa we had was the only one left, Really you just called and told us that our original room was not yet ready!!! They clearly had given our room to a paying customer and threw us into the worst Villa on the grounds with no regard to our Club status, so we ended up spending all of our money off grounds at better establishments that wanted our money. We were asked repeatedly by people we met where we were staying and when we told them they asked why we weren t at our Resort , so we told them our story and let them all know Not to ever Stay At The Reunion. I now wish in hindsight we would have went back to Cabo or Hawaii to the Resorts that treated us like we were special and not Like second hand Customers. We have been WorldMark by Wyndham members for almost 10 years and have never experienced anything close to the disrespect I felt we received at the Reunion. And then the had the audacity to call us to go to a presentation that they said I had reserved at check in which we never had done!!!! I would have probably had gone to one because we were planing on buying more points anyway but now that I am seeing the way Members are treated I don t know if I want to be a Member especially not buying more points because I feel like the points I just used were basically stollen from us. Do not spend any points at this resort because as a WorldMark by Wyndham Member you will be treated like a piece of S !!!!
