For example, I am looking for a different car. This is how I end up on the Seldenrijk website and I notice a Mercedes Benz E 200 from 2006. The website is beautifully built with very nice pictures of the cars offered. This is also true of the Mercedes. After studying the photos well, I made an appointment to view them.

That's how I arrive in Harderwijk at the Seldenrijk company. On the site I immediately see the Mercedes on a closed site, already prepared. First I signed in. The appointment was as planned and I was allowed to sit and wait for the seller who was still busy. In the meantime, looked around. The showroom looked good and well cared for. I got a good impression. At some point someone comes and gives me the keys to the Mercedes. I was already allowed to view the car on the site. Fine.

When I arrived at the Mercedes, I just made a round of the car. It struck me that there were various damage to the car. Very strange, I have looked at the online photos well and could not find any damage. I then placed the car further in the sun and looked further. The car appears to have parking damage all around. Damage above the rear wheel both left and right. Damage to the rear bumper, both corners. Damage to the front bumper. All things that are NOT in the photos.
Then a salesman arrives who presents himself nicely and asks for the impression of this car. When I tell him that I am rather shocked and especially disappointed with the condition of this car, which is not visible on their site, he tells me that this is normal and that buyers generally accept the car as it is. Ridiculous of course. The damage is not on the photos on their website. I didn't come here for this.

When I start negotiating it becomes clear to me that I am faced with the costs of getting this car tight again. I could get another turn as compensation.

The way in which I was told this alone did not give me any confidence. As a customer, you are covered with cars that are damaged. The photos on the website have all been edited to give you a false impression of the car.

At least I'm not coming here again. If a company edits photos to hide damage from offered cars, you may wonder what else they are capable of ...
