We were some of the only guests in the place when we stayed, so we were able to walk around and see all of the rooms. The accommodations here were beautiful (my only complaint about the rooms were that the bathrooms were in desperate need of a fresh update and significantly better lighting). However, that is where the beauty ends.

The hotel was severely understaffed in the evening. Our waitress for dinner was also who checked us in, and was also in charge of dealing with room issues. Needless to say, the light bulb in our bathroom that was out was never fixed. The food was fine, but certainly did not deserve the price tag put on it nor was it actually "fine dining."

Following a mediocre breakfast the next morning, we heard quite the racket coming from the lobby. (Mind you, we were at the complete opposite end of the hotel). We emerged to find two employees having a completely inappropriate shouting match over something as mundane as remembering to lock the office door. Both employees preceded to storm past us, still screaming at one another, slamming doors behind them. When we approached the front desk about the argument, we were told "Don't worry, you're fine, it wasn't you." Of course it wasn't us!

At this point, we decided it was time to leave. When we approached the front desk about cancelling our reservation, the woman who informed us that "it wasn't our fault" then had the nerve to say that she'd still need to charge us for the second night. After standing our ground, she finally conceded, and we promptly left.

Overall, we had an incredibly negative experience here. Cameron Estate Inn has the potential to be a fantastic getaway B&B; however, the management here needs to wake up and realize that potential.
