NO STARS FOR THIS TERRIBLE MONEY PIT. My elderly father has used this hospital multiple times now.It use to be a better hospital but since they put in the trauma ER- it has gotten worse and worse. He has heart and kidney problems. Now he has diabetes. Each time he has been to the hospital they- the nurses, staff and doctors- have treated him they are just in it for the paycheck. They do not listen to his concerns nor care about his condition. They run no tests. The last time he went in his primary doctor told him his kidney condition was actually a heart condition and to go to the ER. The hospital completely ignored my father and his primaries wishes and treated him like a child.They treated the fluid, ran no tests and They discharged him. He had to go back two weeks later due to the same issue. It seems they admit patients and then let them sit for a few days without telling them anything-just to get insurance payments. If you ask questions, the Doctors leave and don't come back. All the while, the hospital gets paid for not doing a thing. They cant even get MEALS right- serving high sugar foods to diabetics-even when the patients are given a menu. My father is Jewish- but not as orthodox as some of the patients- thus i had to go EVERY DAY to make sure he was getting the right care. They are loosely affiliated with the Boro Park Center across the street- so if you need inpatient therapy you go there- DON'T. They overtly only care about getting paid and make no attempts at helping the patients they are suppose to serve.
