I stayed at the shelter for 6 months before I was rehoused. The food was excellent and nutritious. The staff are dedicated, hard working, supportive and very patient. Sharing a space with 4 other women, not the easiest at most times.
The food bank is also good on the other side of the building. The upgrades now aliow for frozen donations, they also have produce, and the usual canned goods. Specialty items upon request...cat/dog food, toilet paper and feminine products. With the covid, you stand outside and they bring a package out to you.
Please support this organization when possible, they helped me when I was unable to help myself. They help so many families in need, with just the basics. It's worth the support, truly.
