I had the privilege of working along with Shawn Ball at the Forum group and I have to say it was probably the best decision I could ve made. It was my first time working with a recruitment agency and I have no regrets. I was struggling a bit finding the right places to apply based on the very diverse experience I have. Shawn contacted me in August I came into the city met with him, we went over my experience and what kind of role I was trying to land. I couldn t emphasize more to him that I wanted to get into a BIG name hospital in Manhattan. I explained how hard it was considering most of the times you need to know someone to get your foot in the door, let alone have someone take a glance at your resume!!! When Shawn mentioned he worked with the top hospitals and top doctor offices in Manhattan I was thrilled! He also mentioned that most of his positions were temp to perm Which I was ecstatic to hear because it was exactly what I was looking for. From what I ve heard most agencies usually give you short term- temporary assignments. Once we met we went over my salary expectations and he worked with me in every aspect of the way, he even did the negotiating part for me once I got my offer! He was extremely hands on and made sure to keep in contact with me every step of the way and most importantly getting me to work right AWAY! Shawn sent me on two interviews with two BIG hospitals in the city and on my second interview I was offered the job on the spot! I really enjoy the group of people I am working with right now and not to mention my boss who is a DOLL! Now all I pray for is that I can eventually stay here at HSS!
