Is an iconic symbol of DC and was great to see it. We didn't go in - so much to see in DC and it's all spread out so we took the hop on hop off bus (takes forever but saves your feet) and passed by it. You can't get close because all the DC landmarks are closed off to vehicles by huge concrete barricades. Hire electric scooters if you want to see everything up close, or go early. Is much bigger than it looks on the news.
