My experience with this company is awful. I was moving from Burnaby to Nanaimo. The move from my apartment in Burnaby was great. Ellis was going to store my belongings for a few days. They were suppose to be on the 6:20AM ferry which they weren't; apparently some paperwork mix up so they had no reservations as far as BC Ferries were concerned, as I waited and waited, watched the ferry come and go and no movers. I called the office and they had no clue on what was going on. Finally the mover with my belongings called me from the ferry and said he was on his way; he called when he got off the ferry and that was the last time I heard from him for over an hour. I live 5 minutes from the ferry terminal, where did he go with my belongings??? I will never know he never said where he went, he did mention that he got wrong directions but I guess a phone call to me was unnecessary to advise where he was. The men with my belongings never got my new address, I guess Ellis never bothered to take it down when I gave it to them or give to the men who were delivering my belongings. I have let my friends know how unhappy I was, I will never recommend this company. My estimate started between $1,800 to $2,000 when James came to look at my apartment, when I got the written quote it was up past $2,300 and climbing. They have since adjusted my invoice but this was the most stressful experience I have had moving.
