Potential to be a fantastic pub but is let down by...

Potential to be a fantastic pub but is let down by its staff and management. Today got overcharged for drinks but didn t realise until after paying - mentioned it to the bar staff and they said they were unable to check their transactions - basically they didn t care or attempt to rectify the problem.
Every time we go on a Sunday they seem to be sold out of roast dinners by about 2/3pm which is odd for a pub - surely they would make more if they always sell out!?
Have eaten here several times and the food is mostly decent but some has been quite average. It is certainly overpriced.
We have recently discovered a similar pub called The Perch which seems to be much better. We will most probably avoid The Victoria Arms and go to The Perch from now on.
