Silvertips games are a blast from the opening face off to the final horn. Good quality of play in a super nice venue full of passionate, smart fans...the games really buzz with energy off the ice and in the stands. It's a far more entertaining experience than that of a certain other WHL team that plays about an hour south on I-5, if you know what I mean...

There are some fun fan participation things like shooting t-shirts from the zamboni, a 50/50 raffle, and chuck-a-puck in the second intermission (be careful if you're sitting near the glass behind the net because some people can't quite throw their pucks over the netting, and they rain down on the poor folks sitting up front). Plus, keep your eyes out for the charming mascot, Lincoln (named for the USS Abraham Lincoln; he's a cartoonish bear but he sorta looks more like a cartoonish mountain lion).

That said, the excellent hockey and the strong sense of fan engagement and loyalty are the real stars here.
