I was recently a first time customer at the BMW at Sterling, Va. My only compliment for them is that things moved pretty quickly there. I dropped off my car and was out in a rental in under 30 minutes. However, I have two major gripes about the service. Before I mad the appt, I called in advance for an estimate on a service. I was happy w/ the estimate and dropped off the car for service. A few hours later, the service dept admitted to me later on that they miscalculated the estimate by over 40%. That's a pretty gross error, right? I passed on the work. After I picked up my car, new service lights started popping up in my dash as I pulled out of the garage. It would have been nice if they had at least notified me of this? I will not go back to Sterling BMW. They do not care about quality service the same way Fairfax and Alexandria does. Sterling does not even have an eval available to assess your visit. I spoke to a service rep and they said they would " call me back to address my concerns" --- they never called. I'll drive the extra 15 miles and go to Fairfax next time.
