After taking a bad fall in October due to ice on our steps, I tried multiple adhesive items in an attempt to provide secure footing on steps made of fake wood (a plastic compound). None of the products we tried either adhered, or remained afixed to the steps for more than one week. They especially failed to adhere when the weather turned cold (we live in Minnesota).

Then my wife and I then tried the Handi-ramp product. It's metal, and screws into the steps (screws provided!) What a difference. The raised metal surface of the product has "bulges" that feel very secure under your foot. Despite several ice storms, our steps are no longer dangerous to us. Forget the adhesive nonsence and to with the HandiRamp product.
