My husband and I were at this hotel in January 2019. This resort by no means is a 5 star, it is 3at the most. I am one that never complains about the food as I don't travel around the world to eat but for the experience however, the food is terrible. I never ate so much bread in my life.I felt the chefs and staff were arrogant. At the grill I heard guests tell the chef to take their meat off so it wouldn't be over cooked, they didn't. As with my chicken it was so over cooked that it was too hard to eat.Such a waste. The buildings are tired looking and need a paint job.For a 5 star rating dirty doors and walls are not acceptable. For an all inclusive ressort make sure you bring your wallet, the staff are always expecting a tip and make it obvious. If I paid for a 3 a star resort the experience would have been expected however, it you are being charged for a 5 star and at the same prices as a 5star in Jamaica or Bahamas, then Cuba needs to step it up and learn how to be a 5 star resort. Another example is when at 1:00pm the volleyball and speaker left the beach to go to the pool area, they didn't have enough equipment. Wow. I am not sure I would ever go back to Cuba at these prices.
