As we all know, this is a very difficult, emotional time of our lives, when having a loved one go into Hospice.
I was unsure what to expect at first, but after having them come out, interview Mom and I, and have a Nurse
And Doctor check Mom out and say that she was approved for Hospice......everything got easier.
Hospice comes out and manages your meds, delivers supplies, calls in all drug refills that are delivered
Right to your front door.
The patient stops seeing all the other Doctors, and just sees the Hospice Doctors.
That allievates a lot of stress, pressure and pain, knowing that you don't have to keep running out the door
To another Doctor appt, especially when you are weak and don't feel good.
Nikki, Ladele, Heather, Casey, Lee, Dr. Teddie Swediskisy, Kelli,....ALL of them were very compassionate and helpful as well as supportive.
They know what to do.
They come in and don't change anything that you are comfortable with, but manage your pain so you can enjoy the days you have left.
They do such a good job, patients actually may "graduate out of hospice" until needed again.
I can call any time of day, and get help. They can come out very quickly when needed.
They are always "there" for you.
I can't say enough about AZ. Care Hospice.
There are many different choices for Hospice in the valley, but I am very grateful that we chose this one!
I feel like I have an extended family now.
