Terrible experience.

Terrible experience.
We arrived to the hotel after an 11 hr drive to find that they gave our king suite away and left us with two queens. We got into the room which was falling apart - carpet not tucked in, scuffs and scratches all over the walls, air blowing only max heat, no ac. They told us to turn heat off entirely and open the window (which was next to the freeway and barely opened) to cool it down. After we tucked kids in to bed, I went down the parkade to get the rest of our things. Nearly stepped on a dead mouse. Parkade smelled like "skunk". Not well lit, did not feel safe down there. Got to sleep around midnight, music from lobby was loud and could hear footsteps above us, only to be woken up before 7 am by a fire alarm (false alarm).
We left for the day and came back around 1:30 to try and nap (no one slept well) only to find house keeping in our room. We asked her to leave several times, said we didn't need the room cleaned at least 5 times, just wanted to sleep, 20 minutes later, she left. My husband tried to sleep, but the machinery in the room next to us was on the fritz and sounded like a jack hammer. We decided to check out even though we were booked in another night. Hotel refused to refund us anything.
Only positives we had were great service at the restaurant and cheap snacks at the pantry. Location was also good. Very disappointing overall.
