The A.K. Smiley Public Library is one of the most iconic and pleasant places in Redlands. The architecture is beautiful, the facilities are well kept, and the grounds are immaculate.

The catalogue isn't the most extensive, but it's not bad considering the small size of the library.

Owing to the Young Readers' Room, I know a lot of kids in Redlands whose favorite place is the library. It's a uniquely interesting environment with a passionate staff that works to engage children through all stages of development. The programs and events they put easily top my list as the No. 1 reason Redlands in an amazing place to raise a child.
