Gold Strike has always been my favorite property to stay while in Tunica. As I mentioned in other reviews, it is becoming very evident over the years how MGM and all of the other property owners are neglecting certain aspects of their properties. It s sad to see what s happening to Tunica & I hope they turn it around. Specific to Gold Strike: the buffet once was the bomb. Now they serve poor quality food and the place is dirty. We looked around where we sat and the chairs were filthy. The wall was stained horribly. I understand corners have to be cut when business is down, but don t do it where people eat. I noticed a big difference with the staff. Not only at Gold Stike, but also at Horseshoe, Hollywood, & 1st Jackpot. The staff was rude, showed no sign of hospitality, and they made it very evident that they don t care. This was at the 4 locations we visited. When I go anywhere, I want to feel welcomed and appreciated. Not too long ago, I got that in Tunica. Unfortunately not during this trip.
