What a gem this place is! Off the beaten path, yet...

What a gem this place is! Off the beaten path, yet just a very short, pretty walk from the bustle of downtown where there is nothing to do but be downtown! A number of restaurant choices, pool, sprawling lawn with Adirondack chairs and mini golf. I didn t think the bathrooms were all that small myself as people have mentioned but rooms might vary. It felt like a scene from Dirty Dancing there because it is so charming. As people have mentioned, you need to recognize Mackinaw is not a place with large and modern accommodations, so if big box rooms or ultimate luxury are your thing, then this may not be the place for you, nor may anyplace on the island be for you. Final thought, consider a package that includes breakfast and ferry- that saves us quite a bit (especially breakfast cost).
