I am on a roadtrip traveling from Oregon all the way up to Alaska with friends. This was my first night ever traveling to Canada or even outside of the US. Wanting to stay out of bad parts of town, we got an expensive $300 room at this hotel. While the hotel staff was friendly and the room was okay (not amazing, but decent), we parked our car in the gated hotel parking only to wake up and find our window smashed and a dirty hatchet laying next to it. Two of our bags and an expensive DSLR camera were stolen. The hotel staff helped us clean up some of the glass and duck taped the window, but were unable to do anything else, telling us we "shouldn't have left bags in our car". When morning came, we drove around and discovered this hotel is actually much closer to bad parts of town than we originally thought. While this is just my experience and like I said the hotel staff were initially very courteous, I can't recommend this hotel or any hotel near it to travelers on the road.
