I contacted a few different installers for quotes and details on solar panels. During this time, I also contacted Praveen from Your Energy Solutions and I could clearly see the difference from the other installers. Praveen came over to meet me with his laptop and spent at least an hour going over the various types of solar panels, advantages of using microinverters and roof mounting options and explained in great detail how the panels need to be positioned and how the PG&E net metering works. I decided to go with LG 330W AC panels which come with integrated Enphase micro-inverters. Compared to the string inverter technology used by the traditional solar installers, the Enphase micro-inverter provides several benefits that I found very compelling - including the parallel connection, safer circuit voltage and longer warranty.

Praveen provided a very competitive quote and I decided to proceed with the contract. I also visited the Your Energy Solutions warehouse in Dublin and Daniel showed me how the LG panels and explained their roof mounting hardware. I liked how their team was very accessible and patient in explaining all the technical details. I appreciated how responsive Praveen was whenever I had any questions via email, phone or text. Currently, I have a fully functional solar panel array connected to the grid and basically covering all my electricity needs. I'm also able to monitor my system from the Enphase web and mobile app. Based on my positive experience, my coworker also decided to go with Your Energy Solutions instead of a big name brand vendor.
