Brought our truck in for the "works" oil change. ...
Brought our truck in for the "works" oil change. Mentioned a "squeak" coming from front of truck which can obviously be heard when it's idling in park. (The "works" includes checking belts.) Left with service department for oil change. They took the truck for a ride and charged us $100 for diagnosis. The squeak was a fan belt so the ride was not necessary. When I spoke to Sales Manager Scott Rodes on the phone 2/12/21 he told me the Service Manager David Rogers was out sick and would call me back by the end of the week. I called again to let Scott Rodes know I did not hear from David Rogers in over a week. I have been waiting to hear back from the service manager for over a month. I guess we have been taken for a ride. Will not return to this dealership because of the unnecessary diagnosis charge and the very poor customer service.
UPDATE: The morning after I posted this review I was contacted by the internet manager at Andy Shaw Ford who apologized repeatedly for their employees "dropping the ball" and she asked what Andy Shaw Ford could do to make it right. I only asked that they refund the $100 diagnostic fee to my husband. This morning we dropped the truck off because Andy Shaw Ford offered to give the $100 back AND replace the fan belt free of charge. When we picked up the truck in the afternoon we did not get $100 back, but we were given a bill for $0 (ZERO DOLLARS). Not only did they replace the fan belt, they also replaced a hub bearing FREE OF CHARGE which David Rogers told my husband was so bad it was dangerous. I'm here to sincerely say thank you to all the employees involved in making things MORE than right, and for going ABOVE AND BEYOND.
