Last Friday we had an unexpected "hotel" stay at the Community Howard Regional Health Hospital in Kokomo. It started with a 103.5 fever our 6 month old daughter, Allie, woke up with at 3am. Making an appointment for the next morning, we saw NP Kathleen McCracken and her two nurses, Megan & Megan. (Yes, there were two. lol) All 3 of them were more than accommodating to my daughters and I while we waited. The nurses gave Emma coloring pages and crayons to keep her behaved. They even held Allie and treated her as their own when I had to take Emma to the bathroom.

Kathleen went above and beyond and really cared for my concern and ran a few tests that weren't common but were better safe than sorry. Sure enough, something was off and we wouldn't have known if it wasn't for her going that one extra step. Even during the 45 min long wait for a room in the hospital, Kathleen and the nurses checked in with us every 10 mins to make sure we were doing ok.

When we got transferred to the hospital side, the nurses (I can't remember all their names) were THE BEST at making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Throughout the next 24 hours they never missed a check-in, were as sweet as can be, and always made sure to ask if we needed anything.

There was even a green and blue blanket in the crib was knitted by someone locally that made them for babies that stay here in the hospital, so we are grateful for such a thoughtful gift from a stranger.

To follow up, today we got a "thank you" card in the mail, wishing us a quick recovery and it was signed by the nurses that took care of us.

I'm beyond pleased with the care and support we had from North Central Indiana Pediatrics Center and would recommend them to anyone. We will definitely be keeping them as our doctor for our girls and would stay there again. (Hope we don't have to though!)
