Do not put your loved ones in this place! They will neglect them and your loved ones quality of life will decrease. Not only that but they will want you to write checks on your loved ones behalf and make medical decisions pertaining to them but refuse to release "care records" of their daily interactions with your loved ones without a power of attorney. A clear sign of their attempt to cover up malfeasance and neglect. EDIT: WOW my loved one and her "primary family contact" both have last names separate from my own. Amazing you knew who I was talking about and that you would confront someone with dementia about this. Actions speak louder than words, at this point I need to see action and not some attempt to "just have her sign it." You should know better.
