having gone to ewc for over a decade, this is the first time i am openly unhappy with the person i saw and the manager at the aventura location. i went in for half a face wax and brazilian. the chick i got was more interested in upselling me (her questions were vague but obviously meant for upcharging) than schooling me on her understanding of the type of brazilian i wanted. not only that BUT WHEN I GOT HOME I HAD GLOBS OF WAX ON MY PRIVATE AREA!!! i have neeevvvveerrrr experienced that!!
i had to go back the next day. olga, the woman i got the next day, was amazing!! she answered my questions and knew exactly what happened and what went wrong but she also saw spots that were not done right. also she has a bright energy about her.
then when i asked if i could give olga part of the tip given to the previous chick the day before, the manager told me that wasn't possible with some bs excuse about new corporate system procedures and that if they mess up the gratuity in their system they have no way of fixing it. the thing is, i used to be a manager in the service industry so i know the things we say to keep money on people's paychecks. totally placating on my nerves. i had no time to debate with her lies, just put on my cute little smile and say sure, that other chick got lucky cause she totally didn't deserve the tip i left. the manager totally felt like she had her high hat on, she's just lucky i had a flight to catch.
