Regular customers here and for the last 6 months the service has dropped dramatically.
- Went for breakfast, had poached eggs which were severely undercooked, I would have asked for it to be changed but no one came over to see how everything was. When someone did come over to take the plates away, they didn t ask if everything was okay although it was obvious it wasn t.
- 7 of us went for dinner, some of us only had starters but asked for them to be served at the same time as everyone else s mains. This didn t happen when we mentioned it the waiter rolled his eyes and sighed at our audacity. No apologies. Then they brought out main meals whilst those with 2 courses were still eating starters. We felt very rushed and like we were a hinderance.
- Went for Sunday lunch, stood for about a minute waiting to be seated, but the two lads were just stood talking amongst themselves right in front of us without any acknowledgement. When we walked past them to seat ourselves he ran after us and said we couldn t do that we had to wait. There were only 4 other tables occupied by the way.
We ordered starters of soup, when it came out it was the wrong one and gave us no explanation as to why.
We ordered more drinks before our main meal arrived, they arrived 10 minutes after we finished our dinner and that was because we asked again for them.
This is just 3 occasions in the last 3 months, but every single time we have been which is near enough weekly, we have either had extras added into our bill that we didn t have or heard of someone else complaining about the same issue.
We used to love this bar & restaurant as it s a nice atmosphere but it s dreadful service now which is disappointing.
Get a good restaurant manager and bar manager and stop hiring kids and stop trying to literally rob your customers.
