I have to admit the wife and I are foodies (food snobs?) The restaurant was within walking distance to our lodging and sounded interesting. It's off-season (after Labor Day) and during COVID. My wife ordered the Cowboy cut prime rib medium rare and I ordered the Ribeye rare/medium. I have to admit were getting on in years but the lighting made it hard to read the menu and enjoy our meal. The serving size was generous, I don't think my wife ate 1/2 of her prime rib, she enjoyed her meal. Both meals came with garlic mashed potatoes (warning they are not 'smooth' there's chunks - I'm ok with that, some people may not be) we added the broccolini which was good and enough for two. My Ribeye was cooked perfectly, rare/med-rare but no seasoning seemed to be used - great for the purists but I would have preferred seasoning 'Peppercorn encrusted' is my favorite - throw in some rosemary?? There was no salt and pepper on the table (COVID)? We were celebrating - so we split a brownie Sunday (very good) and I had a port (they offered two!) I would go back but I would request seasoning on my meat!
