Today is my birthday, and Amy s ice cream is close...

Today is my birthday, and Amy s ice cream is closed (understandably) after a week of awful snow, freezing temperatures, and power and water outages. I ve wanted one of their ice cream cakes for my birthday and decided I would call in just to see if they happened to be open. The employee I spoke with (I don t know his name, but you re amazing!) told me that they would be closed today, likely until tomorrow. I said it was no big deal- I just wanted an ice cream cake and I could totally wait. He told me to stop by and get one, and that it was his pleasure to provide some cheer after an awful week.
After being one of the households that didn t have water or electricity for all 4 days of this crazy blizzard/apocalypse, it absolutely made my entire day. It was such a sweet gesture and made me love Austin even more. Thank you for being a kind human being.
