Today I ordered one cheeseburger for my wife and I to share as a takeaway. Because of the ingredients shown on the menu, I asked that there definitely be no avocado on our burger because, I told the young woman, we are both highly allergic to avocado. Not a problem she replies.
When we opened the takeaway bag it was obvious that there was avocado on the burger. I walked back and asked what went wrong - you could have killed me because I am anaphylactic to that substance. The attendant apologised and went to to another person who seemed like the manager. She seemed to be not worried about it all and obviously told the attendant to give me the refund that I had requested.
No apology from the manager! And then the attendant has the audacity to point out to me that it says avocado on the menu - didn t I see that? You must be joking. Why do you think that I went to such great lengths to ask and then reinforce that we get no avocado.
So disappointing from a place that we visit at least a dozen times each year!
