My wife and I had a great lunch at this Welland location on May 2nd, 2018. We learned of Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual from a Television Advertisement during the broadcast of a recent major Curling event in Calgary. Curling fans are very loyal and like to reward the advertisers who support curling with their business whenever possible.

We live in Markham, Ontario and the bulk of the company's locations are in the West. I found one however in Welland Ontario and, on a trip to Niagara Falls, we made a point of stopping in at the Welland location for lunch. Situated in a stand alone location adjacent to the Seaway Mall Mr. Mikes is in a new building, with plenty of parking and a well laid out floor plan.

We were greeted like old friends by Taylor, who opened the door for us, seated us in a great spot and the she left us to peruse the extensive menu. Our server, Trevor, quickly appeared and patiently answered all of our questions, and placed our order, and was never far away during our meal. An experienced server can make of break a meal and Trevor did a great job.

I had a terrific mushroom laden burger served on a Potato onion bun that was just delicious. My wife enjoyed a shaved beef sandwich on what appeared to be a Brioche style bun that she just raved over. Fries were fresh and hot, just perfect.

The General Manager, Troy, heard that we had come a long way for lunch and stopped by to welcome us and chat about the history of the company and their ambitious expansion plans in Ontario. We learned a lot and were quite impressed with their growth.

All in all we had a very pleasant dining experience, great service, terrific food from an extensive menu, and an overall feeling of being in a place where you were welcomed like family from afar.

We will certainly be on the lookout for Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual locations on our travels in the future, and look forward to a location in Markham soon.
