I have been going to the ER here for over 7 years ...

I have been going to the ER here for over 7 years only because it s the closest hospital to me when I m in a medical crisis and need to be treated ASAP. If it s not an issue that is of dierneed I will go to another ER in another town a little farther away. Why because a pretty good number of the medical staff are racists and they often patient profile patients. Another reason is there s no diversity among the medical staff. It s probably 98% Caucasian and 2% anything but minority. I live, Work and play in a diversified community (country), but there s no diversity in the hospital medical staff. That s saying a lot to me and it s definitely not positive. They treat and bill patients from all walks of life and ethnic groups but don t employ the same on their medical staf? Hmmm I don t trust that.
Forgot to mention that I was being treated last week in the ER and the patient next door to me saw my African American son walk into my room and she started screaming how she hates N*gg**s and did not want to be next to N s and she was going to kill us so the nurse came into my room and not ever so politely said if either of y all need to leave the room to go home or use the restroom or anything y all need to go to your left because you have a racist in the room next door and we just sedated her but do not want her to be upset again. I was so sick and exhausted that I said ok and went back to sleep immediately but when I woke up I wondered why did I feel scolded and was asked to go out of my way to accommodate the racist patient. I had no problem with her she had one with me. They kept my curtains closed so I had no idea of who was walking past my door. They should have closed her curtains too not tell me to creep the other way to appease her. I m still offended Centerpoint I m going to start recording my visits there so people can see how they really treat their patients. Not all staff is like this but there s quite a few bad apples in this facility.
